BSE and NYSS is proud to host annual AMC 8, AMC 10, AMC 12 Competition
2024-2025: BSE has been awarded with 2 Honorary Merit Certificates and 6 School Merit Awards.
2023-2024: BSE-3 awards with Honorary Merit Certificates and 4 School Merit Awards
BSE welcomed its students as well as guests to participate in an annual Math Kangaroo Competition.
A great way to have kids practice logic based questions as early as age 6!
2024-2025: Quinn Chen, Alexander Fink, Leo Slobodnyak and Leonora Lin have all been recognized for their National Percentile Ranking.
2023-2024: Eva Maria Kumunts has received Top 16 Placement in the Math Kangaroo Competition 2024
John Locke Essay Competition is one of the most popular and international essay competitions for high school students.
2024-2025:
14 students at our school were recognized as proud Winners of John Locke Institute International Writing Competition!
Two finalists have won International Recognition for outstanding writing.

New York Concert Festival International Competitions offers a unique opportunity for young musicians, soloists and chamber ensembles, composers and teachers of all countries to participate in various Concerts, Competitions, Showcases and Master Classes.
The events take place in the world’s most prestigious concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, in renowned concert halls of Europe.
2024-2025:
Five of our students won the Grand Prix and the First Prize in an international Festival Competition, which led them to perform at the illustrious Carnegie Hall.
Lincoln Center – nine of our students participated in a showcase performance as First Place Winners.
2023-2024:
Three of our students won the Grand Prix and the First Prize in an international Festival Competition, which led them to perform at the illustrious Carnegie Hall.
At our school, all students from early advanced to advanced level took American College of Musicians/ Piano Guild and MTNA (Music Teacher National Association) exams as well as technical, musical, and music theory exams.
We are proud to announce that they achieved grades of 90%- 100%, showcasing their dedication and the high quality of our music education.

We are thrilled to share the exciting results of this year’s IGO (International Genius Olympiad) in which our students proudly represented Brooklyn School of Excellence on a global stage.
The IGO Olympiad is a prestigious international academic competition that brings together students from over 30 countries to compete in a variety of subjects including Mathematics, Science, English, Computer Science, and General Knowledge. Participation in this event reflects not only academic excellence but also courage, dedication, and curiosity.
2024-2025: Elizabeth Shynder, Nicole Manashirova, Matvii Krasnov, Michael Yelizarov, Daniel Titiyevsky all received top placement in set competition.
