I chose the profession of a physics and mathematics teacher because, in my opinion, there is nothing more interesting than delving into the workings of our world, understanding the beauty of the Universe. The clarity and precision of mathematical proofs are an island of stability amidst the chaos of humanities, full of exceptions to the rules. That’s why I am surprised when people ask me what subject I teach at school, and almost always react with horror and disbelief when I answer, “physics and mathematics.” It happens! I have a great love for the exact sciences!
Studying mathematics fosters logical thinking and a habit of analytical reasoning in students. Physics adds critical thinking skills and the ability to find solutions to real-life problems. What could be better for a person transitioning from the sheltered world of school into the surrounding world!
